Prototyping sodium-ion battery

The project is aimed at the development of sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). They are considered to be promising for implementation into distributed energy grids and supply renewable energy sources for stationary storage systems as possible replacement of Lead-acid batteries (LABs). In comparison to LABs, SIBs demonstrate higher specific energy, longer lifetime, better weight-to-energy ratio, faster charge rate and less ecological impact.
