Advance Ion-exchange Membranes for Redox-flow batteries

This project focuses on the development of low-cost, ion-exchange membranes with high and selective permeability for charge carriers (for example, proton conductivity), suppressed permeability (cross-over) for the redox-active species (for example, vanadium ions), increased chemical stability to harsh conditions, and sufficient mechanical properties, intended for the pragmatic application of redox-flow batteries.
