Optical fiber biosensor for in vivo monitoring of glucocorticoid hormones, PI Vladimir Drachev

The project aims to develop a biosensor for continuous monitoring of glucocorticoid hormones for in vivo biomedical test. Glucocorticoid hormones (GH) (cortisol in humans and corticosterone in rodents) control the numerous physiological functions necessary for energy homeostasis, immune defense, stress response, memory, and fetal development.
